Biostatistics combines the medical field with math, statistics and science to apply principles of statistics to clinical research. New or experimental treatment research, finding links between lifestyles and diseases ? those are examples of the ways in which data calculated by biostatisticians can be applied in a practical context.

Our minor program in Biostatistics is aimed at final year graduate students who are attending the school of Mechanics and Mathematics at Kharkiv National University. Successful applicants must have a strong mathematical background. Through completing a range of courses, students gain a comprehensive understanding of statistical methods in the context of clinical trial analysis, gain an understanding of industry aims and standards, work in teams to perform clinical trial analysis and develop their communication skills, something that deemed to be critical to success in the industry.

All classes are held onsite at the university with flexible time integrated into university schedules.

Admissions Criteria

In order to qualify for admission to this biostatistics minor, applicants must be full-time students who are entering the final year of their master’s degree program
